Welcome to Week 4 of the Science of Learning course for teachers—we’re in the homestretch! This week we will be examining how to help teachers develop more effective classroom experiences based on the learning principles we’ve studied in the previous weeks.

This will include providing effective feedback, helping students become more metacognitive, and then discussing several specific learning strategies that can be used in a variety of educational contexts.

A new feature of Week 4 is the inclusion of interviews with teachers about their classroom practices, as well as video clips of some classes they teach. We want you to hear directly from teachers how they apply these science of learning principles.

We also encourage you to continue to participate in our discussion forums to ask questions and share insights and ideas. This week we hope to generate discussions around implementation opportunities and challenges.

Now let's begin Week 4 of the Science of Learning!
